The title reads aloud as “syntax error at or near heart”, which to me means this:
When something is going wrong in your work as a data professional, look to the heart of the matter. What are the most important values and goals? How do people feel about each other and the work at hand? How do you feel about yourself?
What is preventing the pieces from connecting to each other? From compiling?
More often than not, how you communicate is just as important as what you’re trying to communicate. Simply put, you have a syntax error. Framing and phrasing the problem effectively is hard work, but once you do it, it’s amazing how quickly the compiler will get humming again.
This project is all about those syntax errors—the challenges in communication and cooperation that keep us stuck and banging our foreheads against the keyboard—and how to fix them.
